How Patina approaches every job
Each service begins with a careful examination, whatever its scope. Before any tool touches the movement, we look at the case, crystal, crown, and caseback for signs that might affect what the movement has experienced. We note the power reserve and the current state of the gear train before disassembly.
For movement work, parts are cleaned individually in an ultrasonic bath, dried carefully, and re-lubricated with grade-specific oils at the appropriate friction points. The movement is reassembled and measured on a timing machine before any regulation. Regulation, if needed, is done conservatively — better to return to the bench than to overcorrect.
The work concludes with documentation. The level of documentation varies by service tier, but every client receives something in writing — a brief condition summary for the Health Check, a formal service record for Movement Service and above.

Quick Health Check & Clean

A focused service covering exterior cleaning, a movement check, and timing measurement with light adjustment as needed. A sensible starting point for owners who are unsure what their watch requires. You receive a plain written summary and an honest recommendation on what, if anything, should follow.

Best for

Movement Service & Regulation

A full service of the movement — disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning of all components, fresh lubrication to grade specifications, and careful regulation for steadier timekeeping. Suited to a daily piece that has begun to wander or one that has not been serviced in four or more years. The work concludes with a written timing report across multiple positions.

Made for the piece you intend to keep in the family. We plan and cost the work in clear stages and document each one — so the watch has a written history of everything done to it under our care.

Secure custody
Every watch in the workshop is logged, tagged, and stored when not being worked on. We maintain a real-time record of every piece and its current stage.
Scope in writing
For any work above a Health Check, scope and price are confirmed in writing before we start. If something changes during the work, we contact you before proceeding.
Correct lubricants
We use Swiss-grade watch oils from Moebius and similar suppliers — matched to specific friction points, not a single product applied throughout.
Objective timing data
All serviced movements are measured on a timing machine. We do not rely on feel or subjective assessment — you receive the actual numbers.
Follow-up included
Clients are welcome to return within six weeks for a free timing check and regulation if needed. Movements settle during the first weeks of wear after service.
English throughout
Every stage of the process — assessment, scope agreement, updates, documentation, collection — is available in English for international clients and visitors.
